The Discovery

A secret behind a wall.

Some years ago, during the restoration of an old house at Hacienda La Colorada in Jalisco, an unexpected discovery was made. A hidden passage revealed a forgotten cellar — filled with gold coins, relics, and chests of historical memories.

Among the artifacts were bottles that had remained sealed for nearly six decades. Their clay labels, almost illegible, hinted at a tequila of exceptional quality. That moment marked the beginning of a story still being written.

Inspired by what they found, in 1996 a group of tequila enthusiasts founded Casa 1921 — named for the year the Mexican Revolution came to an end, a tribute to the resilience that defines our country.
